Is Rolfing right for me?

Short answer: Yes!
Long answer: Ida Rolf’s original goal was a belief in a higher evolution of the human form. More of a preventative approach. Align the body; create space, unwind, and provide more efficiency in all things movement and the body will heal itself. And, if our bodies feel better, typically our mind also can heal.

That being said, Rolfing is also very effective for a variety of chronic aches, pains and pathologies. I personally have seen magical results with all the basics such as shoulder girdle/rotator cuff stiffness/pain, wrist/elbow tendonitis symptoms, foot/ankle pain to more complicated issues such as fibromyalgia, plantar fasciitis, TMJ issues, pre and post surgery including working scar tissue directly. All levels of back pain stemming from scoliotic patterns, bulging discs, rib impingement, visceral (gut) issues, sciatic pain, pelvic pain, headaches, sinus issues. The list goes on. Nothing is too unusual or unique for a Rolfer to attempt to provide relief.

What should I wear?

Traditionally we work with clients in underwear. Rolfing sessions involve walking/standing postural analysis, a variety of positions on the table and seated work. Wearing underwear allows for modesty during our time together. Options: boxer brief shorts, loose tank top and shorts or bathing suit or fully clothed is always an option as well.
What not to wear: tight thick sports bras or anything with tight elastic or lots of zippers etc.
